Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing Manotick Yardz Inc. as your groundskeeping service provider. For convenience from this point on we will refer to the company as Yardz.

Yardz offers various services to help you maintain your property. These include lawn mowing, aeration, leaf cleanup and spreading granular fertiliser. Please review the following terms of service, which constitute a legal agreement between you and Yardz. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. 

  1. Billing: Yardz bills in advance for service delivery. The only exception is for hourly work like leaf cleanup that can’t be quoted in advance. Payments, in order of preference, can be made by e-transfer to service@manotick-yardz.ca, debit or credit card and are to be received at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment. For recurring appointments such as weekly mowing, Yardz will bill for the entire month. This practice has been adopted to minimize administrative work and the volume of emails required. We’d rather be working on your yard than spending time on billing. We hope you will remain with Yardz for many growing seasons, however you always have the option to not renew at the end of any billing period.
  2. Hazards: Yardz cannot be responsible for items such as: irrigation hardware, water valves or wires that could be damaged by mowers or lawn aeration machines if they are not properly marked (loaner marker flags are available). You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the lack of proper installation or storage.
    


  3. Serviceable Areas Only: Yardz will make reasonable efforts to service the accessible areas of your property. Restricted areas under decks, behind sheds, under trampolines, and around fragile surfaces etc. are excluded as we cannot safely use our equipment in these spaces.
  4. Access to Property: In order for Yardz to provide our services, you agree to provide us with safe and unobstructed access to the property. Pets are to be secured indoors, gates unlocked and surfaces to be maintained must be free of toys, tools, lawn furniture, hoses etc. This includes all pet waste. We do our best not to track fecal contamination into your yard and we hope you will do the same for others. If unobstructed access is not provided, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the service appointment, and you may be charged for the missed appointment.
  5. Intellectual Property: Yardz routinely takes before and after pictures as part of our service delivery. By using our services, you grant Yardz permission to film, record, or take pictures of your property for quality control, training, and marketing purposes, including but not limited to social media, website, and print advertising. If you have any objections to being recorded or photographed, or the use of your property’s image or testimonial for marketing purposes, please notify us in advance of the service appointment.
 Yardz retains all intellectual property rights to these materials.
  6. Scheduling: We will attempt to maintain preferred and predictable scheduling of appointments, however we must group nearby properties on the same day for efficiencies. Given the variability of the weather, Yardz reserves the right to reschedule as conditions warrant. Some clients may receive their services a day early or the day after weather improves. Mowing wet grass does not get the results we want for your property. We will make every effort to notify you promptly of any schedule changes.

Yardz reserves the right to modify these terms of service.
